A giant floor mural by Lois O’Hara, Think Independently Together aims to be a welcoming space for multi-generational connections, developed alongside local young adults whose feedback shaped the final visual.

“Encouraging connection and interaction after isolation”

Our intention with this commission was to create a joyful space which celebrates the diversity in the area. Lois O’Hara used an eye-popping colour palette and interlocking shapes to encourage connection and interaction after two years of isolation due to the pandemic.

The installation draws inspiration from a birds’ eye map of Wembley Park. The playful lines which collide with each other have a fluid and game-like quality; colliding and collaborating. The shapes echo the aims of the project, encouraging connection and collaboration in public spaces.
