The Possible Impossible
Artist: Peter Morris
Medium: Sculpture
Client: Clerkenwell Design Week
Location: Clerkenwell, London
We were thrilled to collaborate with architect Peter Morris for a new sculptural installation, The Possible Impossible Pavilion for Clerkenwell Design Week 2024.
The pink pavilion was installed outside St James Church in Clerkenwell, creating a series of interconnected archways with shapes reminiscent of church windows, that visitors could pass amongst.
"The design of the installation is inspired by the arches and architectural elements of a church, making it fitting to have both iterations situated near churches. "
Peter Morris, architect
The design is a smaller model of Morris's personal project The Cloud House, which is being constructed in Gospel Oak and will be completed next year, filmed for Channel 4’s Grand Designs. To construct the pavilion, Morris used a special polystyrene based imitation stone called Stone Coat, created by Build-Lite.
The Possible Impossible Pavilion has been nominated for a 2025 ArchDaily Building of the Year award in the Small & Installation category.
