We worked with Lee Baker and Catherine Borowski of Graphic Rewilding to commission an epic public art mural in The Village at London’s Westfield Shopping Centre. The artistic duo are renowned for creating vast immersive nature-inspired installations, designed to counterbalance our experience of urban spaces.

This project was Graphic Rewilding’s first use of AR and their most ambitious and largest yet, totalling 1.5 sq km of ever-changing, maximalist wildflower meadows, which wrap around the atrium of level one of The Village.

Visitors could enjoy this vast mural come to life via augmented reality, by scanning QR codes placed alongside the work. This transports viewers into a world of free-floating flowers, swaying grass, hovering bees, dragonflies and effervescent drifting pollen. The work was open to the public throughout summer 2023.
