BLOOMING

Artist: Anna Grace Studio

Building / Client: Bloom Clerkenwell

“Flowers bloom from the ground filling the window like a flower garden”

Blooming is a 20-metre installation in the front window at Bloom Clerkenwell, 144,000 sq ft of work, retail and amenity space next to Farringdon Station. The installation displays an array of intricately handmade and dyed paper flowers, using a variety of papers including crepe, tissue and card.

Flowers literally bloom from the ground filling the window like a flower garden, shooting up in various heights, designs and sizes. The bright colour palette brings to life a vibrant floral wonderland.

Artists Anna Grace and Melissa Rumney are both specialist craftswomen and it is testament to their skill just how impactful this installation is from a distance, but incredibly intricate on closer inspection. Blooming welcomed Londoner’s back to work in the city after lockdown, bringing a smile to all those who walked past.
